At PTC, all the staff (academic and office) are actively concerned for the welfare of the students and their families. Care and assistance is provided through a range of means.
The Pastoral Dean (Rev Peter Hastie) is available for consultation and counsel. An appointment can be made to speak with him. Students are encouraged to approach individual lecturers about matters concerning particular subjects.
The Academic Dean (Dr Greg Goswell) is available to advise students on subject selection, academic progress and concerning any queries about the requirements of ACT students and PCA candidates.
Students from an Asian background will find it helpful to have regular contact and discussion with Dr Felix Chung, who speaks Cantonese and Mandarin.
The OH&S Committee (chaired by the Principal) holds the physical safety of students and staff as a prime concern, and the committee includes a student representative.
The JPF student fellowship and the PTC Women’s Group and the regular Care Groups act as vital support groups within college life.
